Dance Philosophy Education
Carolina is privileged to be a dance artist and scholar based on the unceded Coast Salish territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations.
She holds a BA and an MA in Philosophy (University of Bologna, Italy), an MA in Comparative Media Arts (Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, Canada) and is currently a PhD student in Arts Education at Simon Fraser University. Her research interests include phenomenology, dance, integrated dance, and dance education.
In 2011, she graduated as a Dance Educator and Community Engagement Facilitator and a Philosophy for Children Teacher. Since then, she has been working toward building communities of movers and thinkers.
She is a dancer, choreographer, and instructor for of All Bodies Dance Project and she is finishing a 2 year residency at the Roundhouse Arts and Community Centre.
She taught dance at Anvil Centre, the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts and all around the Lower Main Land. She teaches Italian and Yoga at Westside Montessori Academy
She is the chair of Raven Spirit Dance Board and the secretary of Vines Art Festival.
